It’s time for a Viet Nam style protest to get us out of Afghanistan May 16, 2011

It’s time for a Viet Nam style protest. A true get out the masses young and old to finally put a stop to the war in Afghanistan. I’ve been without TV for a while, well a couple of weeks at least, so I use the interwebz to get the fix I need.

I like certain programs so I search out any web content of them to view. I enjoy “60 Minutes” so I went looking and watched the last episode. The one that really made me mad at the government and their efforts with the war was the Lara Logan interview with Amrullah Saleh the former intelligence head in that country.

What made me madder was the fact that our government knows now and has known for quite some time that what Mr. Saleh has said over the years and is saying now is not only true but so accurate in the details that without some action more of our young men and women, will die so as not to upset the relationship this country has with Pakistan. Mr. Saleh was asked by Ms. Logan what should we call Pakistan, an ally or a very good ally, Mr. Saleh without blinking an eye said terrorist nation.

Pakistan according to Mr. Saleh not only harbors al-Queda and Taliban principals but supports their efforts against our troops. He also told our intelligence agencies that the now dead Osama Bin Laden was holed up in a town in Pakistan which although was incorrect it was a town a short 12 kilometers from where he was found.

We provide billions of dollars to Pakistan, they take the money, flip us off and continue to aide and abet those who would dance in the streets when Americans die.

If you haven’t seen the interview go Google/Bing the episode of which I speak. If it doesn’t piss you off I pity you.
Unite brother and sister Americans, get the word out, get your Senators and Representatives to put an end to this madness. Write, cajole, scream, organize do whatever you can.

War, what is it good for? December 24, 2010

Profit of course. Many companies with strong ties to our government are making billions in wars that nobody wants. These twenty-five companies are the most egregious when it comes to profiteering.

When will people wake up and put a stop to this, one might wonder. It’s very possible that since all or most of the major media outlets just don’t or won’t cover demonstrations this more recent one didn’t get a nickle’s worth of notice. Imagine if the draft were still around, imagine the riots and demonstrations that would be taking place now just like the 60’s and 70’s. The government wants us all to follow along like fat dumb sheep. Stand up America, do something for a change.

Arrogant war monger. March 20, 2008

It isn’t bad enough that George Bush keeps spewing garbage about Iraq or that his self-centered arrogance and fumbling orations have really made me dislike him and his ilk even more another moron has finally gotten my dander up and gets a good dose of a Gatzbo Rant.

This past week, while being interviewed by a well known and respected newsperson, Dick Cheney was confronted with the fact that 75% of Americans do not approve of the war in Iraq his response “So?” followed by a smirk that made my blood run cold.  This arrogant fool has added fuel to the fire of my dislike for the current administration.  Oh sure, he and George will be out of office in due time, not soon enough by the way.  So lighten up right? Wrong?  If you, the voter, believe that Republicans have a hero in John McCain, think again.  When he was interviewed and confronted with the same facts he said, “Well I disagree with the majority of Americans.”

Don’t kid yourself America.  If a Republican gets into office you definetely get more of the same.  I will cast my vote for Mr. Barrack Obama.  He has stated that he will pull our troops out of Iraq.  The naysayers state that if we do pull out of Iraq we will have lost and Iraq will fall into chaos and civil war.  So be it.  Let them be responsible for themselves.  Take the billions and billions of dollars spent and are being spent and use it to create jobs, figure out what to do about health care, finish the job in Afghanistan and rebuild our image around the world.

Please tell me it is a cruel joke. March 13, 2008

I’ve heard from several sources that Bush and his war monger crony Cheney are seriously considering waging war on Iran.  Please, please someone promise me that this is just a cruel joke.  If there is any iota of truth in this I think it is time for another revolution – and I don’t care if that sounds like tyranny.

Veterans Day November 11, 2007

The eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month eighty-nine years ago marked the end of a brutal war that was supposed to be the war that ended all wars. After being attacked on a bloody day in December this country entered into a conflagration to topple regimes vilified across the world. Warfare in Korea and Viet Nam still linger in the minds of this nation. The current ventures in Afghanistan and Iraq hopefully will end soon. My grandfather fought in World War I, several uncles where deployed in World War II and Korea my turn was Viet Nam and we all lost friends and neighbors in each of these conflicts. Please remember those who have served not just today, everyday.

Open letter to all Americans. October 24, 2007

It matters not if you consider yourself Republican, Democrat, Independent, Liberal, Conservative, Right or Left as long as you call yourself a concerned American this is for you. Each and everyone of us must do whatever it takes to insure that the current administration and its penchant for war is stopped short in its tracks. We cannot allow the warmonger leaders of our country the ability to place us and the world further in harms way. The recent comments about creating World War III, wether taken in or out of context, should scare the living daylights out of one and all. If you believe that Iran is a threat by having nuclear weapons a/k/a weapons of mass destruction, harken back to the day when this government used those words to push us into a conflagration that sees no end in sight. Our attention is best placed fighting the terrorists that brought us to 9/11. We must remove all of your troops, not only from Iran, but Korea, Germany and other nations where we currently have a military presence and send them to Afghanistan and finish what we started – wipe out al Queda and the Taliban and anyone else there that harbours them or gives them aid. If our representatives in the House and Senate cower to the demands of this President and his cronies they must pay the price of being voted out of office and/or impeached. This is madness, pure and simple.
